Audi named as safest carmaker
Luxury brand picks up top honors in car security awards
Audi was yesterday named as the best manufacturer for car security in the 2007 British Insurance Car Security Awards. The award is given to the carmaker that produces the safest model ranges over the 12 months to the end April.
Volvo took second place overall, boosted by its new Personal Car Communicator, which alerts a driver returning to their car if someone is hiding in the vehicle.
The PCC, which sends a signal to the driver's key fob, also received the innovation award.
