Simola Hillclimb – the place to be if you’re into cars!

Now, if you’re into cars, you know that the Simola Hillclimb is the place to be! Bringing together a line-up of the fastest machines that’ll make any car enthusiast drool.

Much like man and machine, the partnership between Tavcor Motor Group and Scuderia Scribante is very much the same. For the second year running, we’ve teamed up with Aldo and his team, and they definitely brought the heat. The team worked countless hours to ensure the Audi S4 driven by Aldo Scribante, was ready to take on the hill. A total of 9 shakedown sessions took place prior to the event with their beast which does 0-100km/h in 2.5 seconds. The Scuderia Scribante crew unleashed their beast – an Audi S4 3L V6 packing a whopping 850 horsepower. Talk about power under the hood!

Day 1: Getting into the groove.

Day 1 was all about getting into the groove, with Aldo tearing up the hill in practice runs and qualifiers. Clocking in at 40.6 seconds, he smashed his personal best by 1.1 seconds. The buzz around the team was electric, setting the stage for an epic showdown on Day 2.

Day 2: Working out some niggles.

Day 2 wasn’t without its challenges, but the Scuderia Scribante squad was on fire. With minor niggles on day 1, the team tried a couple of things to improve the Audi S4’s top speed by reducing the rear wing angle and giving Aldo some more front-end turn. Aldo was very happy with the improvements.  Once they completed some tweaks to the Audi S4’s setup, Aldo was feeling good and ready to take on the competition. Securing a sweet victory in the B5 class and earning a spot in the Top 10 Shootout – the ultimate showdown for the fastest cars on the hill.

Day 3: Ready to tear up that hill!

Killer sportsmanship wins Scuderia Scribante the Dave Charlton Award!

With nerves of steel, Aldo pushed the limits of his machine, snagging an impressive 5th place overall in the shootout. Cue the celebrations, because that’s a finish worth cheering for! But the icing on the cake? Winning the King of the Hill Spirit of Dave Charlton Award is a nod to their sportsmanship and killer performance.
