A generous cheque of R170,000 was handed over on the anniversary of the opening Khaya Cheshire. The funds were raised during the Tavcor Khaya Cheshire Golf Day 2025, a day that brought together community spirit, generosity, and joy in support of an extraordinary cause.
The building project further cements a partnership of over 18 years, dedicated to supporting children with disabilities. Built with love, purpose, and collaboration, the centre has served as a safe and nurturing space for a full year — turning dreams into daily impact.
A heartfelt thank you goes to Simon Gallant (Saga_Collectief), architect Kempie van Rooyen, Paul Freeth of RC Construction, the dedicated Khaya Cheshire Team, the passionate TAVCOR Tag Team, and all the generous sponsors who turned this vision into reality.
Megan Stow, Tavcor HR Director said, “This year’s Golf Day wasn’t just a round of golf; it was a celebration of everything that’s been achieved in partnership with the Cheshire Home Organisation. This commitment to the support of Disabled children in our community is heartfelt and appreciated.”
Tavcor Motor Group extends its deepest appreciation to all tee and prize sponsors, whose support made both the event and the project a success.
Stow continues to say, “Partnering with Khaya Cheshire on this incredible journey has been an honour. This milestone donation of R170,000 represents not just financial support, but the spirit of unity and shared purpose. It’s a reminder of what’s possible when businesses, individuals, and communities come together for something greater.”
Khaya is finally home — and has been for a year. Tavcor Motor Group couldn’t be prouder to have played a part in building it, funding it, and seeing it flourish.
