As a vehicle sponsor for the PwC Great Zuurberg Trek 2017, Tavcor Commercial’s Amarok helped the logistics team traverse terrain in preparation for the big three-day boutique stage race. It also shouldered the load during the race and our sponsored water point helped keep the racers in tip-top shape.
The event took place from 25 – 27 May, with riders experiencing the beauty of the Eastern Cape bushveld, seeing areas of the Addo Elephant National Park not often available to the general public. Not only did the riders benefit from the event, but through a strategic partnership with Unity in Africa Foundation, a number of bursaries are currently being facilitated for underprivileged local children at independent school, Hermitage House.
In addition to a mountain biking experience unlike any other, all sponsors including the Sundays River Citrus Cooperation Foundation Trust, contributed towards a school bus for schools in the Addo area in need of transport for cultural and sporting events. Named ‘Kids on the Move’, the bus was handed over at the event.
